STORY:
John 13:1, 14-17
Jesus knew He was about to die on the cross, so He gathered His followers together for one last meal together. While they sat together at the table Jesus got up, wrapped a towel around His waist, and began washing His disciples' feet. He was showing His love for them and teaching them to love and serve each other. The next day He would show His love by suffering on the cross to save all of us from our sins. After supper Jesus took bread, said a prayer and handed it to His disciples. He told them, "Take, eat, this is My body given for you." He wanted them to remember He loved them so much He was willing to die in their place on the cross. He took the wine and gave it to them saying, "Drink of it, all of you, this cup is the new testament in My blood, shed for you for the forgiveness of all your sins." During His trials and on the cross, Jesus will bleed and die to save us from our sins. Jesus loved you enough to suffer and die so you can live with Him in heaven forever.

ACTIVITY
Church TourThe kids will tour the church looking for different ways that people help others in the various different places.

CRAFT
Place several old magazines on the table. Have the kids look through the magazines and find people or things that help others. Examples can be doctors, teachers, cars, cleaning supplies, tools, furniture, etc. Let the children decide and explain how what they found helps others. Then, let them cut out the pictures or tear out the pages.  The kids will then make a collage by gluing their pictures to a sheet of construction paper.
LORD'S PRAYER:
The children learn the Lord's prayer

CLOSING SONG
Lost and Found performing the song "Lions"
Last week we tried to sing this, but the pastor didn't have his sound dock to amplify it.  Here it is for your enjoyment at home.
